John McCain Mentions Obama and JFK Assassination

Wed Jun 04, 2008 at 08:51:52 AM PDT

Yes, he just did at his little speech that you can catch live on teh Cable News stations.

He just challenged Barack to a series of country-wide townhall meetings together where they can duke it out, and then referenced this:

Paraphrased "Because, Mr. Goldwater and John F. Kennedy had agreed in 1963 to engage in the same townhall meetings I'm suggesting, and it would have happened, if not for the tragic event of that year...blah blah blah, and I hope that Senator Obama will accept my invitation."

Is it just me, or is it impossible for Barack Obama's opponents to refrain from mentioning the assassination of a Kennedy when speaking of him and the upcoming election?

Shades of Scorpius...

Jeralyn Merritt "Obama For Hill's A-G..."

Sun May 11, 2008 at 09:40:02 AM PDT

I have been following, with mingled amusement, dismay and outright disgust, the downward spiral of Talk-Left, which used to be an interesting legal-issues blog, and the former Kossack Big Tent Democrat with Jeralyn tag-teaming a "Shrill For Hill" concept of sour-graping every Obama advancement through the primary.

I say "used-to-interesting legal-issues blog" because it has now become a horrifying train-wreck of bitterness, angst and outright seeming hatred for Obama. I dare not read past most post's initial comments, as it similar to reading a Free-Republic posting about...well, Hillary Clinton, in its hateful tones.

Dan Abrams of MSNBC - WTF??

Wed Jan 30, 2008 at 06:27:38 PM PDT

For the Record- I really, really, really am not writing a hit Diary on Hillary Clinton here, but wondering, in all honesty, what I just witnessed on MSNBC.  Had his peeve concerned John Edwards or Barrack Obama, I am sure I'd be writing the same Diary.  None of the campaigns are responsible for how Dan Abrams acted tonight.

I don't write many Diaries, content to lurk for the most part, but I'd appreciate an informal straw-poll of Kossacks concerning Dan Abrams of MSNBC...

I admit that I haven't watched much of that station aside from Keith O., there being nothing much else to watch with the likes of Norah "In-Your-Face" O'Donnell, Chris "Tweety" Matthews and Joe "Bigger-Headed Conan" Scarborough (O.K., I have a few nicknames for the media clowns, sue me), but I had MSNBC on tonight while D.A.'s show started, and I was struck by a thought.

That being, "WTF?"

Is it me, or is Dan Abrams completely in the tank for the Clinton campaign?  The only other option I'd have would be, "Or is he just bored and wishing for more of the type of pre-South Carolina commotion we've witnessed?"

Freeper Meltdown Over Kos & Michigan

Sun Jan 13, 2008 at 02:37:53 PM PDT

Breaking, Freeper melt-down over Kos' call to have fun in Michigan primary:

Let's Git'Im!!!

Yesterday, I filed a complaint with the Michigan Attorney General against Daily Kos' blogger Markos Moulitsas, requesting an investigation into whether Moulitsas is encouraging voter fraud in next week's Michigan GOP primary....

In Daily Kos' January 10 posting entitled "Let's have fun in Michigan," Moulitsas called on Democrats to cross party lines and vote in the Republican primary for the express purpose of helping Mitt Romney win. Romney, he says, will be a "weak" opponent for the Democrats in November. Daily Kos makes no attempt to hide the fact they are influencing Republican primaries as Democrats to benefit Democrats.

Moulitsas' call could be felonious. Michigan state law clearly indicates that unqualified electors voting in elections is a felony. It also specifies that counseling or aiding someone to vote in an election they are unqualified for is also a felony. Election law clearly specifies that to vote in a party's primary, one must actually belong to that party.
